The Agricultural Institute of Marin is seeking a dedicated part-time EBT Specialist/Assistant Farmers Market Manager for our year-round farmers markets that occur every Sunday at the Newark Farmers Market. The EBT Specialist/Assistant Farmers Market Manager assures the smooth operation of the farmers market by assisting the Market Manager in setup and breakdown of the market and by providing excellent customer service in the Information Booth, particularly in regards to AIM's nutrition access programs. This is an entry-level position with potential for a career pathway in farmers markets operations, agricultural education, or local food systems strategies.
21+ years old with valid CA driver's license and clean driving record. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and load/unload market equipment. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Committed to working Saturdays and Sundays. Interest in food, farming, and local food systems. Comfortable driving short distances to place/remove market signage.
AIM is an educational 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that educates, inspires, and connects communities, farmers, and producers to create a healthy, Earth-friendly, equitable local and regional food and agricultural system. AIM serves 400+ farmers, food purveyors, and artisans from 40 California counties through Certified Farmers Markets, hands-on education programs, farm audits, mobile markets, and CalFresh/EBT services.
