NUSA is a fast-growing food start-up on a mission to share the vibrant, authentic flavors of Indonesia with the Bay Area. We're looking for a hands-on, versatile Kitchen Operations Lead who loves both savory cooking and baking, and is excited to help build something special with us. You'll take the lead in our kitchen, managing production for both our Indonesian savory dishes and signature sweets. You'll plan production schedules, coordinate the kitchen team, and make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Who We're Looking For: • 2+ years of professional kitchen leadership experience (culinary or bakery side) • Strong baking and pastry skills preferred, especially experience with Southeast Asian desserts • Passionate about both savory and sweet production, and comfortable switching between the two • Highly organized, good with planning, and calm under pressure • A natural coach and team player who lifts others up • Excited about authentic global cuisines, experience with Indonesian, Malaysian, or Singaporean flavors is a huge plus (but not required if you're eager to learn) • Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds and work active kitchen shifts • Experience with farmers markets or catering operations is a huge plus • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
